Early-stage startups will come across "venture capital" when they look for investors who can support their expense in talent, R&D, operations, marketing and business expansion. For students and recent graduate startup founders, fund-raising is one of their big challenges due to lack of startup experience and connection to seed-stage investors. Student startups need Rookie Fund to equip knowledge in venture capital, as well as, to develop network with later-stage investment.
In the Rookie Fund Info Session, you will have a brief understand of how venture capital (VC) firms operate internally, and their roles in startup ecosystem. Financial topics will be briefly covered like fund size, investment methods, and return strategies. A few of Hong Kong-based startups will be taken in case studies.
Last but not least, the Operations Manager of Rookie Fund will introduce their training program for student investors. For students who are interested in technology startups and investment, this is a valuable chance for you to get hands-on experience in deal sourcing, analysis, to investment.
